Growing up I spent my morning and afternoons swimming, joining any sport team I possibly could in school, and practiced every other sport my hometown had to offer.

Always up for trying new activities, I decided Touch Football was for me and I played for over 10 years for local and regional teams. I was then introduced by a fellow teammate to soccer and there I found my next challenge and an opportunity for new experiences. Determination and my enjoyment of the game saw me play for over 20 years and was selected in the QLD State team to play in the National Titles.

After a health scare 10 years ago, I decided to pursue my love of sport and fitness and completed my Cert 111 and IV.  As I got older, I always wondered how I was ever going to retire from such a great team sport as soccer. Then I found CrossFit and it was such an easy transition, I then had my new passion.

As a Personal Trainer I want to share my enthusiasm, encourage a happier, healthier lifestyle and help you realise what your body is capable of. I believe that with the right training program, a bit of determination and support, anyone can achieve their goals.  Your mind is your limit so if we can overcome that, anything is possible.  

As a woman in her 40's (ish), I will never turn down a challenge and I know how important it is to keep active as you get older, continue to keep body fat down, muscle density up which carries through to good bone density - keeping osteoporosis at bay!  Time and time again, I am reminded of the positive effects exercise has on my own physical and psychological well-being, and my appreciation for what our bodies and mind can achieve is ever increasing.

Carol’s love of sports started at a young age and has seen her achieve state representative level in gymnastics, athletics and hockey.

Following an ACL reconstruction in 2013, Carol was prompted to try CrossFit as part of her rehab.  It is fair to say she was hooked from day 1!

Although a strong gymnastics background is an advantage for many of the movements, Carol’s all round strength and conditioning benefitted from the CrossFit approach and she is now stronger than at any other time.

Seeing how much she had benefitted from CrossFit, Carol wanted to share this benefit with others and completed her Level 1 Trainer’s Course in May 2014.  She now gets a huge amount of fulfilment out of helping others to achieve their fitness goals through CrossFit.

I have always had a passion for fitness, and have stayed very active my whole life.  I have played a lot of sports from athletics, basketball, water polo, I am a State level swimmer, I have a black belt in tae-kwon-do and played 15 years of rugby league as my most dominant sport, with playing in the Hunter academy of sport teams, knights junior development teams, and SG ball.

Since leaving the knights system I played first grade with Cessnock and was introduced to CrossFit as an off-season fitness source, then playing another season and being a lot fitter, I went back to CrossFit and never left.

For me, fitness is not just an activity, it is a way of life and state of mind. The human body is truly a fascinating machine. We are all such capable beings and have the potential to be and do whatever we put our minds to. Unfortunately we experience barriers and blockades in our life that stop us and slow us down from reaching our desired goals.
