Who We Are

At CrossFit SPS Brookvale our mission is to transform our members lives through health and fitness.  We do this by providing a place where you can come to be encouraged, be supported, be empowered and be your best.   

Our business is health, fitness, motivation and self-improvement. We want to empower you to transform your life by taking control through reduced stress, better health, getting stronger and fitter and achieving things that you never thought possible in a safe environment.

Our motivation comes from our members. When you talk to members one-on-one, on a personal level, they’re inspiring and encouraging. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing people not only improve, but giving it their best – it’s you vs you and no one else!

Our commitment and priority is to help our members hit their goals, and we know how important the role of a Coach and a box is to support you, step by step, to help you transform your body through exercise and also nutrition, to see visible results in body composition and performance.

With new challenges daily, we avoid the dreaded fitness plateau and get you in the best shape of your life.  Functional training utilises movements performed in life’s daily activities, such as walking, bending, lifting and climbing stairs.  “All-out” effort intervals, intervals that push your heart rate to about 90% of its maximum, followed by active recovery, challenge your body more than moderately intense cardiovascular exercise.

Strength training is critically important. Strength training builds muscle - muscle tension and density give a body a toned look. 

Most of our members soon figure out the best part of this whole experience is the people they train with. Drop in to our Brookvale location and you’ll quickly understand that we’re all doing this together, motivating one another and sharing in the challenges and successes as the entire class powers through another workout.

What Makes CrossFit SPS Brookvale Different? 

CrossFit SPS Brookvale is an amalgamation of ideas surrounding the fitness of everyday people, young prospects, avid sports enthusiasts and competitors. We strive to provide a playground of equipment not generally found at a traditional gym. The movements and skills that we teach at CrossFit SPS Brookvale are an eclectic mix of cardio, gymnastics, olympic lifting, strongman events, kettlebells, ropes, monkey bars, medicine balls and more. 

Each of these has cardio, strength and conditioning applications for everyone.  We take all new members who have never participated in CrossFit before, through our OnRamp technique program where we go over all movements and lifts so you are able to perform these safely and confidently in the workouts.  This also enables you to improve at a greater rate under the watchful eyes of the coaches.

Our programming is done by SPS Director Lisa Brooke.  Lisa has over 15 years experience in the health and fitness industry, specialising in Strength & Conditioning, Olympic Lifting and Rehabilitation.  She is a Poliquin Level 1, 2 & 3, 'PICP' National Strength & Conditioning coach, so incorporates her knowledge into her workouts.  There is method to her madness with the workouts!  You will always have a different workout daily, working every part of your body and feeling places you have never felt before.  This is when you know our programming will maximise your results and give you an all over body workout.  

Lisa also makes sure each workout is scaleable to suit all levels of fitness, strength, ages, backgrounds and rehabilitation needs.  So you don't have to go and get fit to start, it all happens under one roof!  We will help you work out what you want to achieve and hit your goals, empower and give you the confidence to do things you would never have thought possible.  

What Can I Expect From A CrossFit Workout?

Anything and everything. It does not have to be 'hard core'.  All workouts can be scaled either by limiting the time frame, reducing the weight, rounds & altering movements etc, to suit people of all fitness levels - you don't have to be fit to start, this is our job and why you come to us!  

We create fit, healthy, athletic people who are better prepared for any task given to them. Whether it's a 100m sprint, squats or to lift, our participants are ready to succeed. Simply, we will stimulate every single system in your body, sometimes all at once. Other times, we will pick the systems apart and exploit the weakest one. By using a constantly varied, high intensity interval program, we attempt to minimise possible plateaus that are common in typical gyms. You will never do the same workout twice in a row. You will always leave here feeling like you have accomplished something great. Most importantly, you will leave here more fit and healthy than when you came in.

What Kind Of Contracts Do You Use At Crossfit Brookvale?

We have a few options, ranging from casual, 10 pass, Weekly 'Flexi' up to a 9 month contract, as we know everyone has commitments they may need to work around. 

We have a casual drop-in rate for those people travelling, or someone who wants to come in every now and again to do a workout with us.  

We have a 10-pass membership for those who can make classes around 2 times per week, or people travelling for work etc.  

The Flexi rate is our most popular with unlimited sessions per week to attend with no lock-in. The only thing you need to do for any of our memberships is give 2 weeks notice should you wish to either place your membership on hold or cancel.  The Flexi rate allows a 4 week hold per year, so it's perfect for when you go away on holidays.   We then have a 6 & 9 month contract which offers savings off the normal weekly rate and again, allows 4 weeks annual hold. *conditions apply.
